Extended studs with stock wheels
So here is my predicament.
I am swapping over to a 5x114 setup with a 6mt. The subaru seller that I bought the bundle from gave me everything from wheels to flywheel. The thing is that I went to pick up the hubs and they have the extended studs. I have stock sti wheels. I believe I have been screwed because I see the stock wheels have the rounded acorn lugs. Where the lug nuts for the extended studs only have conical ends. I asked for the lug nuts and he said they were not for sale and he was going to put them on his car. Is there a such thing as a OEM style open end lug nut? -paul

I'm pretty sure the stock STI BBS wheels can use a regular tuner style lugnut.

just read wheel lug nut faq:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=885825 I was under the impression that the Stock sti wheels have a rounded style lug nut. Just like the stock WRX wheels (rounded). And all the aftermarket ones had the flat cone 60 degrees lug style. |

alright. Thanks. I still have to decide between the extended open end and regular open end. Does it matter? or is it just for looks? Which one looks more subtle?
