Default has anyone in az passed emissions with no cats?

So I need to register my car but don't know if ill pass emissions with no cats? Has anyone done it?

Just find a stock downpipe and you should be fine.

they don't snuff our cars, they only plug into the obdII as long as you have no cel's and the gas cap is good the damn thing should pass

I passed in my WRX with no cats. There wasn't even a visual inspection.

This was my experience as well, as long as you have not CEL's you are good to go.

^^^ what he said...don't think anyone in AZ with mods actually have all their cats. They don't care as long as you're not throwing CEL's

This is not true...they are ran by Gordon Darby, which is actually a private company. They won the bid back in the day.

Doesn't change much, but just FYI.

If you don't have cats, and no Check Engine Light, then don't worry about it. Most people put a spark plug indexer or a oxygen sensor bung to pull the rear sensor out of the direct flow of exhaust.

And I have an 02 WRX with both cats removed, no issues.

Even if you had the code, most vehicles have the Cat monitor as one of the last ones to run. So even if the codes is cleared, then driven and sat for a day or two, might pass.

i just played stupid and the guy said his machine had been acting up. no check engine light no problem. i just did it again before i moved to CO so i wouldnt have to deal with it here.
