Default Can you pair 2 phones and switch between them -- 2011 Impreza

How do you pair two phones (for two drivers) to a 2011 Impreza, and how do you switch between them--or does the car system automatically pair with whichever of the two phones happens to be in the car?

I know you can setup multiple devices but not sure if you can run them all the same time. I have a feeling it's which ever connects first take priority. I was running my Galaxy S3 and then Nexus 7 and noticed when playing music the Nexus 7 wasn't connected but I know the GS3 usually connects automatically once I start the car.

How do you pair two devices? Once I pair a single phone, the screen says MEMORY FULL. If I erase all of the phones in the memory and it says NO DEVICE, I can pair two phones using the voice activated setup, but the system only remembers the second one that I paired.

Weird, I just went step by step and added my phone & tablet. Maybe my stock HU is different? I don't know... I also have my BT headset paired. Just not 100% sure if I can use the audio simultaneously on all the devices is where I'm wondering.

Can you play each of them after they have been added? If I get it to the car with one if the devices previously added and start the car, the display shows BT SETUP -- NO DEVICE.

This is the stock HU.

Yes you can pair two different phones to the headunit through the steering wheel button (won't work through the buttons on the headunit itself). You will name each phone (mine for example is 'htc one' and 'angies phone'.

You select which one to automatically pair with through the steering wheel controls as well. Also the car has to be stopped completely to access the menu, it won't let you do it if you're moving. And if you switch phones from one to the other, it won't connect until the car is turned off and turned back on again. Hope that helps

That's where I'm not 100% sure about after setting them up. I'll have to test them but others might know. Mine will reconnect if I turn on/off the BT on either device. Just not sure how it communicates if both are trying to send audio to the HU at the same time.
