Last year that happened to me. We had three total snow days to use and we used 6-7 I belive. The best part is I was a senior and didn't have to make up any of them! The bad thing...my bug was down the whole winter But this year she is up and running with no problems (knock on wood) and ready to tear the snow a new one

If anything you'd want to stay the same or go down in width. You want a narrower tire in snow.

Surprised no one has taken this route yet:

Do Subaru owners not have winter beaters? I did just pick up some 2005-WRX wheels with Blizzaks for my yet-to-arrive WRX... I can't wait to add some pix to this thread once it's in.

LOL, I bought my STi because it would be awesome in the six months of winter we get here in Edmonton. If I had room for a winter beater I'd be driving a BRZ or a 370Z!

Winter setup on my 13 wrx. Sparco Assetto Gara 17in wheels with Blizzaks. I got the OEM roof racks (apparently made with yakima, had no idea) fitted with christmas lights. Low quality Droid 2 picture at night.

How are you powering those? Inverter inside with a cord out the door? DC wiring somewhere? Or are they just battery powered?
