Default ***New GrimmSpeed all Black Heat Shield*** Available at RallySportDirect.com!

GRIMMSPEED TURBO HEATSHIELD!

The Most Versitile Subaru Factory replacement heat shield.
WRX, STi, Forester XT, Outback XT, Baja, Legacy GT, and even fits with many aftermarket turbos

***Click on any image for more details along with pricing***

A heatshield is designed to keep heat where it belongs! Whether that means inside of the piping or out of the engine bay which is exactly why this Grimmspeed Turbo Heatshield was designed. This heatshield was developed to keep heat out of the engine bay and away from all the heat sensitive components like the intercooler.

But, this is not a normal heatshield, Grimmspeed designed these to work with even some of the largest turbos on the market as well as people running an external wastegate. It is constructed out of 304 Stainless Steel and is beautifully finished in a ceramic black coating to ensure a long lasting product that will look great in the engine bay.

Wow, Much nicer. I think I might ditch my Cusco for this one (and it'll give me an excuse for get a Grimmspeed EBCS).

can you explain your graph? I just want to make sure I understand it.. pre intercooler IAT? Would that be the charge tube? Post intercooler temps are the intake manifold temps?

There was a 5-page thread documenting Grimmspeed performing the test (somewhere on here, just search). I believe the Pre-IC is using the IAT sensor through datalogging (what the car sees) and the Post-IC was a probe actually pushed into the Throttle-body coupler to gauge the actual air temperature post IC.

No, the logo is a laser etching, so I am not sure if the coating covers it, or if it is not on there in the first place, but you cannot see it on the shield.

Thanks,
Rick
