I gotta hurry up and finish my shop, and stop working on vehicles so I can finish my electrical and drywall. Then I will have 2 bays for an occasional shop day whenever we decide to do one.

I hate drum brakes btw... I should just convert my truck to rear disc so I don't have to worry about finding random parts around town...

How hard would it be to swap the drums for discs? Easy as on a Chevy 1-ton? Just an adapter plate? That would be the way to go, but you'd have to get a brake bias proportioning valve. Not a deal breaker by any means.

To really do it right, since I have the Cummin's, you need to do a Hydroboost brake booster setup as well (due to the factory gear driven vacuum pump that is fairly weak). The proportioning valve is also another factor that some people have said has been an issue in their swap, and led to poor rear brake performance.

I just don't have the time or money to do all of the above, and buy all the parts I need to do the conversion. Just need the truck to run, drive, and get me from A to B when I need to. This summer I may tear it down and do some more things to it depending on how funding looks.

Well you know I'm down to help with whatever. I am so ready to get my hands dirty again!

On a different note, I've got a dodge dana 60 rear with an LSD in it if that is anything of interest to you. I picked it up years ago, and haven't figured out what I want to do with it.

Hmmm that would be a yes, I'm interested haha. Remember what ratio it's got in it?

I'll be doing a valve adjustment tonight on the truck, and probably fabbing up a downpipe bracket as well, to help keep the v-band flange lined up a little better. If you get bored, you are welcome to come by. I'll probably get the plow truck fired up too, and move it out of its hiding spot.

Sounds like a plan.

I don't know what the ratio is. It's buried in snow at the moment. We can check it any time. If you're truly interested in it, I'm sure we can come up with a trade. Cash is getting scarce for everybody.

Yes sir! If it's the right gear ratio, I need the limited slip... the torque with the diesel sucks in the winter with an open diff.
