Default EJ22T short block. Who has one?

I'm curious to know how much someone would want for it.

You know...for research purposes...

Guys from the uk get them from the usa for about $5-700 usd, and flip them for $2000 usd. I can't talk bad though, since I do the same.

Not many left.

I sold one to a guy in the UK for $600, I paid $60 for it.

They sell for $2K in the UK now? Huh. If I ever find another it's going on Ebay.uk

$2000 is the quick sale price

You could finagle $2300usd easily.

Okay...so my research has concluded that I would be better off strengthening a 22E locally than getting a 22T from the US of the A.

Cheers anyway guys.

Is this for the entire motor or for just the case halves? Seems like they would only want the halves and shipping would be easier.

No you can't. The EJ22T was discontinued.

I've got three of them.

One in my daily driver, the other two as donors. One is complete and runs, and the other needs to be rebuilt. The previous owner of my car rebuilt the engine for it, then left the country, but he sold the engine out of it for decent money to someone in Australia. Luckily at that point I had three ej22t's and just put the car back together.

I sold my Ej22t junkyard pull for $450 quick. I know they go for more, but i sold it within a few days. I needed the cash.

Edit:... $100 shipping though, so $550 total. fyi. I paid $150 at the local pick your part.

What cars did the EJ22T come in? I have done some searching but can't seem to find a list. Are parts still available to rebuild them?

Old Legacy Turbos from '91-'93. The majority have been scrapped and crushed. There weren't a lot made. It was cheaper and easier for me to buy a full car with a running engine than it was to buy a bare block.

If anyone wants one of these I'll have two soon that I'd consider selling. One has been sitting on shelf for a while and the other is in a currently running car.

I still don't see why everyone has a boner for them. Yes they are closed deck but the power levels 90% of you run would be fine with a fully open deck NA block.

Default ej22t

I'm in Canada, I just sold one about 3 weeks ago to someone in England for $700 Cdn plus shipping.
It was just the shortblock, and I threw in a phase I crank and rods for an extra $50.
Still have the heads, ecu, pigtail, etc for sale - cheap!
I think it cost him about $450 to ship it from here in the middle of B.C. to London, England.
I had to use a plastic pallet due to wood pest restrictions and make the crate out of two-side-good plywood - as the plywood manufacturing process apparently kills all the bugs living in it.

You wont find a new one in the box anywhere...... they havent been produced by subaru in nearly 15 years. So stop asking. You can find a used one fairly cheap if you look around.
