Default Sweet deal!

I read the ToU but don't recall if there was anything against craigslist links. This isn't mine, just passing along a good deal outside of my budget at the moment.

Hope she goes to a good home.

If the link isn't allowed I will gladly pull it.

Am I the only one who thinks its been in an accident?? Look at how the color on the back bumper, cladding and body don't seem to all match.

Mine is a 05 , and it is also a two tone silver (cladding & bumpers are a slightly different shade of silver)

Yes, but this one looks to have been built as a single tone (as 2006 was only light blue, silver and black I think??) That back bumper looks off to me for sure. Myabe it just had a scratch and they resprayed the bumper or swapped it out. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but something to examine closer for a customer.

Yeah, your probably right, as the cladding and bumpers should be the same shade, with the upper doors, hood, etc being a slightly different shade of silver

I purchased my Baja for 13,500 almost five years ago and I can't believe how much our cars hold up their value.

It seems like trucks in general hold their value well. I imagine they're durable and men are more sentimental about them than cars. A man selling his truck is like selling his balls. I've found some decent ones for about 7-8 grand but still a little out of my price range.

I dont think you will find underpriced turbo model anywhere unless they have 200 on the clock. As of right now i'm keeping my car even it blows the engine. Its still cheaper than financing a new car.

I bought my 05 turbo (automatic) with rebuilt motor and various mods for less than 7k dollars. Had 175k on chassis.

Anyone who asks about my Baja sport with 128K gets an asking price of $30,000. Not kidding. I know its not worth that much to anyone else. But its worth it to me as I cannot ever find another one owner "virgin" Baja.

I figure $30000 would be enough to buy (finance a little bit) a "keeper" 5 speed XV, and a donor XV limited that I could pay cash for grab all the good stuff off of (like leather and anything else that would swap over) and then sell the limited as used with a cloth interior and use the $$ to pay off the loan on the keeper and have some cash left over. (yes I have thought this out)

A dealer asked me what I wanted for my car when I was test driving junk and I said 30k. He was really surprised but honestly I doubt I'd even sell it for 30k. I know my vehicles are in perfect condition so they're worth more than the average car for sure.

^ a lot to be said for owning a vehicle you bought new. Mine has 127K on it and I know where all of them came from
