Default Vancouver bound!

So january first I will be moving to the mainland to attend bcit aerospace at vancouver international airport. Pretty excited about this, I'll be daily driving the brat and if I can find a place to keep the impreza I'll be bringing it too. So if anyone knows of a place with a single car garage for rent or a garage by itself let me know.

Looking forward to seeing you guys a lot more often.

Welcome to the club! The best way is to come out to our Friday weekly meets at Byrne/Marine which is just over the queensborough bridge. They're a bit late so not everyone makes it. But come say hi, we don't bite.

Maybe, except the Surrey Crew :P

Check craigslist for garage space, can be had for a decent rate.

I also went to bcit aerospace a number of years back.. fun times, you will love it.

Aerospace ! I hope you have lots of patience there's more paper work then turning a wrench every nut and bolt has to be signed off with a serial number that's on the nut and bolt then you have to sign off on the torque specs. My buddy was in his 2 or 3 year and he dropped it because of all the BS and stress mind you this is what I was told.

Good luck with the course remember trade school is all about drink with your class mates ..alot of drinking this I know I just finished the HD course at VCC

Welcome to the mainland! When you say 'aerospace', what do you mean? Or is that the name they have given that campus?

Good to hear you are coming this way, you are the first guy I met on these forums. Your car is one of a kind, I hope you can bring it over for some timmies meets or track days.

This is true to a certain extent, there are mountains of paperwork depending on what end up doing. After finishing school I ended up building turbine sections, gearboxes and after some time compressor sections for rolls-royce. We always joked that the only step they don't make you sign off on is when you take your morning ****.

For new builds, yes everything has to be documented. It didn't end up being what I thought it would be, and I am no longer in that industry. Hopefully you will find what your looking for, I still miss it in some ways! Best of luck.

Yes there is a lot of paperwork. I've never had to record serial numbers of bolts though

It's like what MPS used to tell me we also build Suby engines for planes if something goes wrong with our engine in the air, people die. That being said I'm glad I drove the car and not flown it! lol Good luck with school on this side of the pond.... I might have room in my two car garage but I'm in Poco...

Thanks!

I'm pretty excited but the more I look online the less it looks like I'm going to be able to find a place with a garage, there's pretty much nothing in my price range. Sucks.

Did it pass AirCare? Or will that be the next task after the move?
