Default 2002 WRX Front Speaker Wiring

I am looking to replace the front speakers on my 2002 WRX. I removed the door panel just to make sure a previous owner had not upgraded them (no such luck) and noticed the stock speaker has a separate tweeter up by the door handle. I was just planning on getting standard replacement speakers, either 2 or 3 way with the tweeters built it.

My question is, should I replace the stock components with aftermarket components, or can I just use regular style speakers with the tweeters built in?

Thanks

Since the stock speakers are component, does that mean I have a stock crossover somewhere?

The stock components have the crossovers built onto the speakers... no crossover to find..

You can use either components or coaxials (the term you are after) it's usually a better idea to run components with an amp, but as long as you aren't asking the world, they can run from the stereo..

Coaxials would be the better idea.. IMO..

Thank you
