Default New STi limited

After being scooby-less for over a year now, I finally picked up a new, used, STi limited. When I had my last I never posted so I figured I would go ahead and post and say hey. Looking forward to meeting some of y'all.
I'm also hoping there are some others here that live in College Station.

Only mod she has is a Cobb turbo back.

I don't believe it does, CEL for O2 sensor came on already. I'll be getting it tuned this week though.

Id spend the extra if you can and get a compression test and leak down test just to see what youve got your hands on.

Looks great, where are you living at?

I did the opposite, I had an 07 UGM STi before I got this one.

My limited only had about 11k when I bought it last year, so I never enjoyed it and it ended up being a garage queen for most of the time I had it.

My current one has 83k on the odometer and I have plenty of plans for mods...

But those limited are awesome and super rare!

Not so much the miles- it's the fact that it has a 3" DP and no tune

Congrats on the new car though, it looks super clean. - i hope it proves to be in good health.

If its had a turboback on it with no tune, absolutely.

Yeah, that is true. I'm assuming it had an AP and they took it off when they sold it.

Thanks for all the input.

Starting from 2007 Subaru started jacking with the tune to get it to be more emissions compliant - they do some really weird things in the tune, like running 15's AFR during spool and under low boost - to the point where completely stock cars you drive off the showroom floor would blow their engines.

To be safe until you get tuned, unplug your boost control solenoid. It will throw a check engine light and you will run on wastegate boost but it isn't going to hurt the car - in fact it will run safer than if you had it plugged in. Just keep it out of boost until you get an AP for it or get tuned with RomRaider.

Good luck, beautiful car!

OP you're close enough to dallas to have access to some great tuning houses- Cobb if you want to go the AP route or AWDtuning for open source.

Both Cobb and AWDtuning have great tuners, and both can tune AP or Opensource

COBB Plano won't tune opensource, but they can do AccessFLASH. Just like an OS tune, it's a one and done kind of thing, but about the same entry price as OS tuning.

Ahh, I thought accessFlash and OS where the same thing.

But yeah either way both Cobb and AWD can tune you with or without an AP
