Default 08+ WRX/STi Underseat subwoofer - want to hear it

Anyone in the MD/DC/VA area with an 08+ WRX/STi hatchback, with an underseat subwoofer, non-navigation?

I would be interested in getting the underseat subwoofer but would like to hear how it sounds/compares...

I currently have the 10" Kicker subwoofer, and am looking to remove it and sell it due to cargo space...

Please send me a PM if you have the underseat subwoofer and wouldn't mind if I can come check it out...

I'm near the MD/DC/Metro area, not far from Northern VA area...

Thanks in advance,
DJ Sueno

This isn't exactly what you are asking, but I have listened to a couple of cars with this, and...I couldn't tell it was there. That is, I heard no difference between a car WITH the underseat sub, and one without. Not worth any money or effort, in my opinion.

For what you pay for the OEM underseat sub, there are 3-5 better options on the market.

Clarion srv314 (exact copy of the underseat OEM sub, or vice versa), NVX qbus8, sound ordnance b-8pt, and several different 8" boss models.

Thanks for the reply and info Dan... I would still like to hear one though, if possible...

Thanks for the reply... Can you use the stock stereo with those? I was looking for plug and play...

I have the underseat sub, and it's very "punchy" i guess you can say. It goes to like lvl 9, I think, but i keep it at 0 or 1, because i find it good enough and it just sounds like crap if you go very high. It also rattles EVERYTHING! I'm sure there are better options out there.

The b-8pt made a sizeable difference in sound when I had it.

They have high level inputs, and though it is not the BEST, they can be run with the power/ground from the OEM subwoofer harness. You'll have to splice 7 wires, but it will be a 20-minute affair.
