Default Need Suggestions

Well my 03 wrx engine gave up last night at work. i took her into my local shop.
dropped the oil pan and blam.. toasty metalic flakes of stubborness..

he said he could rebuild the head and bore our the heads for pesky 2500..
or said i could go "high performance" and get new cams heads rings for 3500...

and my last option was to get a brand new used motor from the yard. for 1200..

looks like i have 3 options i dont wanna lose my girl shes been good to me.

but if you guys could just show some love and give some advice i dont even know at this point.

what a horrible week to swap to a vf34 :X

please help me

Boy....a junkyard engine (with some kind of warantee) and an afternoon with a cherry picker sure looks like the way to go to me.
