Have a little grinding to do on a steel bracket.

Try Kenson Automotive in Fairfax. Also, don't forget to check out Autothority (sp??) in the same complex.

It's about a quarter inch steel piece that has to have about an inch ground off. A little tough for a dremel, I think.

I found a place called Powerhouse Performance Machine Shop in Fairfax - the guy sounded like a good ol' boy who will grind and weld and stuff.

I had a good experience over there - dropped off a bracket to be cut and header to have EGT probe drilled at 1 o'clock, picked it up at 3:30.

Its a drag race oriented shop, but he does good work, exactly what you ask, has an amazing array of parts that would be of interest to import folks, and if you like big blocks, you should see the heads and blowers and stuff he has lying around.
