Default 91 Legacy idling high

I bought a 91 Leggy for my brother in law and it won't smog because it's idling at 1200 in park and 600 in gear. It sounds like it's misfiring when in gear and runs smooth when in park. Coil, plugs, wires, fuel filter, and air filter have been changed, drained and cleaned tank. ( car sat for 2 years with no exhaust) I have kind of looked at the IAC, but haven't taken it out yet.
Any ides?
Thanks,
Jeff

Probably your IACV, or the throttle body has carbon build up.

Also, I would seafoam it for the hell of it since it's sat for so long. Won't hurt to clear out all the carbon deposits.

Well it's not the IAC. I put in 3 of them, all the same result. I'm going to put some cleaner again through it and see what happens.

Check your throttle and cruise (if applicable) cables. Also check the TPS.

One possibility is that someone messed with the stop screw to bring the idle up. Once that happens, the throttle body is generally out of whack and should be replaced.

, about 5-10%. I do have a parts car. I'll be swapping parts in and out to see if I get a change. What's the pin voltage supposed to be coming from the harness? Can't find anything on Mitchell. It only gives me ohms for the sensor.

My phone is not liking the app. I've checked the resistance is what got cut off. Also is the TPS harness voltage full batt voltage?

I got it to idle better by pulling the throttle cables off and cleaning the crap out of those. I'm wondering now if I have a fuel pump problem. i got it to idle at 900rpm/park and ~600/drive, but it's gutless! It does have 177psi-183psi/cylinder (dry) compression. Wet is about 5% higher. Hardly any leak down. I haven't driven it enough (just around my shop parking lot) to know if it's using oil.

It's falling on it's face like it's only running on 3 cylinders, but it's not missing. I don't have an adpater to check the fuel pressure with the guage I have. I'm going to pull a fuel line off and crank it to a bottle to check if volumn is there. Any other ideas out there?
Jeff

Ok guys, so here is what I found out. I finally thought to check the resistance on the injectors. Duh!!!! I've been very busy and didn't look there for some reason. I found 2 were O.L., 1 @ 1111.90, and 1 @ 12.9 ohms. So I was running on 1 injector. Swapped out the auto injectors and rails for my MT injectors and rails. Runs like a dream. So don't forget to check your injectors!!!
