Default 2008 Wrx Rear Chrome Piece

As many people know there is a piece if plastic looking chrome above the license plate on this year and I was wondering what it is actually called and if there are aftermarket pieces or a possible way to paint it.

I couldn't search for it cuz I don't know what it is even called so HA!

Multiple companies including SPT have carbon fiber pieces to overlay onto it. Also, the cheapest way is to mask it off and spray it with some plasti dip.

A lot of people have plasti dipped it, or painted it accordingly.

oh...........................................sedan .................................................. ...... no, sorry. i thought we were talking about hatches (me having a hatch). sedan is stuck with the chrome or spt cf one. I'd personally take it to a local body shop and get them to paint it. shop around, macco want 400 to paint my sti spoiler when i got it but after shopping and smaller shops, i had a 120 quote and fast return with perfect color match! good luck and sorry

Dude...do a little searching. People have played nice in this thread, but not everyone on here is going to spoon feed you.

Im sure lowes.com has prices on cans of plasti dip. I can't see it being over like $8 for a can. It's extremly easy to use....mask off around the area, and put 3-4 coats down on it. Boom, all done.

getting it painted would be a lot more expensive but i'd shop around, not like theyre gonna chrage you for a qoute, each shop is different. painting it yourself would be cheaper, plasti dip is the cheapest.

Oh really? Post some flicks of your pieces then.

I'm not quite sure the piece you're speaking off, as I have a GD. However it sounds like its something small. Personally, I'd paint it gloss black especial because your car is black.

Cover the car up and mask around the peice and Plato dip it. If you don't like it you can peel it off, you didn't ruin the paint or anything. Should kinda flat black which IMO would look good.
If you don't like it go get it painted, and the 8 dollars you spent wasn't so bad
