Any musicians local to jam?

Just throwing out the line to see if anybody wants to jam. I play a lot of instruments but mainly guitar, vocals and piano. I'm looking for some jam/gig buddies to play bars and whatnot to make cash and then write as well.

I just want to have fun and jam. Not into metal anymore, been in too many of those bands. Looking to do some old man mountain folk/acoustic/rock.

I play a 16" djembe. Use to jam with a band weekly, did some recordings, and played at Jimmy's in herndon... but not looking to get that into it again. Wouldn't mind coming out for a jam or two if you are looking in the Ashburn area.

Yea I'm done playing metal. I still love it and sometimes goof off with my old bandmates but I feel too old for the scene now. Do you have acoustic or electric kit?

Oh I love playing music

, but to do gigs right required two days a week of practice to refine songs which was fine back then... but now I have other interests taking up my time (wife, brewing beer, subaru, etc) that I couldn't make the same commitment.

Before the band got serious we use to get together one day a week for what we call DSA (Drunk Sing Along)... which was us basically drinking beers and jamming, not caring if we were on key or got the lyrics right. Those were the good ol' days.

im actually going to be in GA from thurs-sat for little brothers Army graduation, perhaps another time would be better.
