Default 2010 wrx wheel bearings

Good afternoon NASIOC. After quite a bit of searching (both for the cause of the noise and the solution) I have come to a conclusion. I need a wheel bearing for a 2010 WRX. After some good input on this site (thanks to Uncle Scotty & others) I started my search. I am pleased to say that my bearing is part of an enclosed hub unit (no repacking needed) but here is my question. Does anyone know what manufacturer provides the "oem" units to subaru? Tokiko or perhaps Timken? I'd prefer to replace with an oem unit but would like to avoid paying the dealership a ridiculous amount of money if I can source it online cheaper for the same product.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

hey I came across your thread because I think my bearing needs replacement too. The unit I believe is Timken hub/bearing assumbly. I have a 2011 wrx and I think a bent rim caused my beari8ng to break. I replaced the rim but now there is a noise that sounds like uneven tire wear. The tire is not wearing so that noise must be the bearing. Is this noise similar to yours? And are you experiencing a wobble also? Thanks

i bought my replacement wheel bearings (so far 3 in 191k miles) from the dealer. lots of www oem subaru parts sources if you can get a better deal.

i'm a napa fan and they do have good parts but did not have the right wheel bearing.
