Default Too many off-topic posts

Maybe I'm alone in my observations, but the amount of off-topic posts here is staggering. I mean, it's nice to know there was a blue GC8 with a 22b wing driving on 280 at 9:33am, and that a lady was putting on her makeup in her 2.5RS. Or that raves are no longer what they used to be. Or that Schumacher should or should not be considered an athlete. But do they belong here?

Either the moderator(s) need to clamp down on off-topic posts in this forum, or there should be a sub-forum where these kinds of posts would belong. Otherwise, the relevant topics get pushed off the top too quickly, and coming across useful information becomes quite difficult (especially when not logging in ten times a day).

IMO...

BAIC is a more personal form of OT for us Bay Area Members. I look at the local forums for us to coordinate events among ourselves, Buy & Sell, Talk Tech and General BS amongst ourselves.

too many OTs nah see my other post... seriously, BAIC allows us to talk smack and discuss things among close "friends" than the whole I-club plus there are alot of local issues for such a diverse area. there are technical forums for you ask technical questions.

"Dude, 2.5's look really good."

"Man, WRX's are really fast."

There, we've covered everything that could be "on-topic". Everything else should be in one of the general or tech forums.

The local chapters are just little version of OT with meet plans included.

Dude,
wasn't Erin Grey the chick in Battlestar Galactica? She's hot!

I agree that BAIC is a more personal form of off-topic.

That's right, I just hot a shipment in from Japan and they are even better than the ones in the picture. They're PINK with a carbon fiber STi badge on the left side. Only $475 and I have ten of them... get yours before its too late!!!

if you don't like the topic, don't click it...

so what if its off topic? most of the stuff we talk about has nothing to do with cars....

even though it is a car forums, theres need to talk about other things than cars.

even if it is about putting stuff in my exhaust...

btw, it's been a while since that happened..hahahha

My cat was seriously pissed with that collar on. He kept on bumping into stuff cause he didn't relize he needed to make extra room for the collar.

It was on for 2 weeks & he was glad to get it off. It's like a body kit for my cat.

STi kitty bonnet genuine JDM... Fits all domestic and foreign cats. 8 inch tip for super terrific sound amplification. Allows reception of all PPV channels and is portable. STi magnesium pooper scooper and Carbon Fiber tub litter box not included .

> if you don't like the topic, don't click it...

That's not the point I brought up. When I come to BAIC, I want to see what's coming up in the Bay Area, like autocroses, rallycrosses and road rallies. Those announcements get pushed to the bottom because of the large amount of posts. All I was suggesting was a way to isolate this content (yeah, some of it is sticky, but most of it is not).

Well, turns out BAIC is an OT forum, so I had it all wrong. I'll stop now because the thread has degenerated into something I didn't intend it to be.
