No

Any problem in the flash will render the image on the ECU corrupt, which will prevent it from working at all. HOWEVER, once the ECU is in program mode, it will stay there until you turn off the key, which means that if you encounter a problem just LEAVE THE KEY ON, fix the problem, and try again. The ECU won't be bricked unless you turn the key off without getting a successful flash first.

Common problems are a weak car battery, laptop shutting off/hibernating in the middle of the flash, or the cable getting knocked out (move your foot and kick it, etc). Any of which should be fixable if you just leave the key on and try the flash after fixing the problem.

The only problem I've run into after 150+ flashes is the car battery dying. I hadn't driven the car in a couple of weeks and I thought the battery was strong enough, so I tried a flash. It got about half way through before throwing write errors. Tried it again, same deal. I left the key on, computer on, ECUFlash running, and went and hooked up a battery charger to the car, AC power adapter to the laptop (to keep the battery from dying), went inside and a had a few beers, came back out an hour later and re-tried the flash without issue.

If you turn the key off without getting a successful flash first, the ECU will need to be disassembled and repaired by hand. There's a thread on NASIOC with some instructions on how to do it, or you can send it to Tactrix and pay a small fee for them to unbrick it.

lol Little personal huh? lol Not many are gonna share specifics about their maps as there is usually lots of man hours and dyno tuning to achieve the final outcome. Plus what a person is doin in there rom may have a terrible outcome on your rom/engine. Read some stickies and get on romraider forums.........links are a bit outdated but lots of awsome info here and there.
