Default 2012 - Intermittent Day Time Running Light out (right)

Search did. not a match so i apologize in advance if this has been posted before.

2012 WRX Premium Hatch. I have my passenger light DRL that randomly goes out. the "said" bulb is a yellow DRL from headlight bulbs dot com.

i can get it to turn back on more often than not by flashing my high beams.

is this a switch / relay issue or a bulb issue. i have never run into this before.

anyone else run into this?

Most likely the bulb is failing I replace a lot of bulb for intermittent problems

I would also say its the bulb. The DRLs work off a switch on the parking brake.

thanks for the input. i will just throw my OEM DRL / high beam bulbs in there this weekend.

does it matter that i have wiring harnesses? i have those "heavy duty" harnesses between my bulbs and my car's receptors because i was a little paranoid about running the slightly higher wattage bulbs. *NONE of my aftermarket bulbs exceed the wattage more than 10... but i'm going off memory. i know better than to put an 85 watt bulb ina 55 watt socket.

Low Beams = 65watt H9's vs. OEM (55 or 60 watt H11's)
DRL / High Beams = 60 watt vs. 55???
Fogs = OEM, i think they are 52 watt, any after markets were 55's.

no HID's no funny business, no splicing. funny because they've been working all day.
