02 WRX. stock with ~150k. went to mcdonalds to get a god D*** mcflurry then got home and this happened. I JUST changed the oil and coolant yesterday and now there is 0 oil in the car along with this noise.

How did you manage to lost all engine oil? Did you forget to tighten oil draining plug or oil filter? It is miracle if that engines bearings are ok with that kind of noise...

Haha I just noticed that this morning. This happens pissed off at 1am. Yea I drive to school and back and have actually been checking for leakage since I just swapped out a few hoses and haven't noticed anything

Sounds like a massive oil leak happened somewhere. Sorry dude
I'd hate for that to happen to my bugeye. Like other people said: Bearings are probably toast. |

I would have to agree with the general opinion, it does sound like rod knock, if you lost all engine oil somehow then your rod bearings probably suffered from oil starvation. It is time for a rebuild....I'm sorry Brian...
