So basically i need to know whats the best axle back exhaust i can go with. It needs to be reasonably priced and i would like it with burned tips if possible. The reason for an axle back is because of my warranty so theres no point in a
cat back because the power gain is to little for too much cash so im jus looking for a beefy sound thx! ![]()

what kind of sound system do you have in the car? I was thinking of making a CD of cool exhaust sounds to listen to while driving my car that way I can have the sound when I want, but not attract too much attention from the cops and be able to turn it off when I want.
Since it's only about sound and looks I'd get the cheapest one that fits those two for your personal taste. Look up the ones you like on youtube to hear sound samples. I'm gonna do the exact opposite though. DP and stock exhaust. |

^ Hopefully not on the crappy stock audio system
![]() Burned tips like the titanium tipped axle backs? Injen sells a pretty sweet one, but it's pricey as f*** |

If you want no warranty headaches, SPT CBE and you'll be fine. My Second Subi with SPT CBE's, they are nice very nice sounding ( My opinion ). But you will not have Burnt tips you can add it as a DYI with a torch, but if you get it wrong its permanent.

You might as well get a tbe or cbe. Axlebacks can be just as pricey, especially for the good sounding ones.
tbe = turboback exhaust, aka all the exhaust piping up to and including the downpipe |

OP, we can't decide what exhaust is best for you. Search around the forums and you'll find plenty of threads with exhaust clips and pictures. Then YOU decide what's best. |

Search for Nameless Performance. Lots of options. I don't believe they sell an axle back with burnt tips. I may be wrong.

Agreed on nameless. You can get an axle back now, then later add a mid and down pipe if you wanted the turbo back.

unfortunately the exhausts for these cars are pretty expense, most being almost 1,000. the hatches are cheaper. *IF* i ever get one, it will most likley be a q300 for my sedan. i found it from a few vendors for 800 bux, you gotta beat those guys up
however, keep in mind the exhaust is a mod that will make noise, little power to be had. i added a catless DP to the stock exhaust, im happy with the sound...for now.. |

OP, read through every post on the linked thread. It has damn near every exhaust in it with sound clips, opinions, and pictures. Really nothing better. You need to do the research yourself. This is your car, and it will only be good for you. What is great for a 21 year old is not the same for a 35 year old with wife and kids. A CBE is an opinion. If you just go off of what people on a forum say you will literally be throwing away money. Go to your local chapter either on here or if they have a separate forum and go to meets or local hang outs and listen to the different exhausts. After living in KC for less than a half a year I have met up with most of the subie owners around me. Everyone is more than willing to help another enthusiast out. Also not sure if your have a sedan or hatch but they are two vastly different sounds. Only look at reviews and opinions of your car style. |
