thought I would share these.
Ive never broke a front oem axle in my car. And when i sold my trans setup i sold it with the front axles and bought some new empi axles. Ive broken two of those now. One time it was just the front left. the second time it was the front right and a left rear at the same time. the left rear broke in the hub and on the dog on the diff side. heres a comparison pics of the empi front axles and the FEQ front axles. The empi obv has lots of taper and a terrible weak 3 ball dog the FEQ has almost no taper and a stronger 6 ball dog. ![]() ![]() ![]()

moral of the story.
Dont by empi axles for your subaru. Buy FEQ = First Equipment Quality. plus the feq is cheaper by like 10 bucks a axle on worldpac |

I hear these are hit or miss. Sorry you had such bad experience. I was actually considering empi too.

Empi's are hit or miss? Or FEQ's are hit or miss?
And a question, how do you go about finding parts and ordering from worldpac? I browsed around their site a bit and didn't see anything like a shopping cart. Is it wholesale only? |

Well, we'll see. Not too happy after seeing this, seeings as I just got Empi's for my '05 RA swap. If they break I'll go subi. They're easy enough to change and I don't beat my car.
