Title says it all. My wife got me a COBB Short Shift for Christmas. Most of my tools are of the construction variety, so I don't have alot of socket sets and a basic search leads me to believe I'd be taking about 50 cell phone pics and looking like an idiot gutting my car.
http://www.cobbtuning.com/Subaru-Dou...r-p/212315.htm I'm hoping for help next weekend, the 12th/13th...depending on Football Playoff schedules (yep, really). I'm thinking $50 for what would amount to an hour, hour and a half of work should suffice. I'll even throw in Starbucks if it's still morning, or Pizza/6-pack if it's lunchtime. Please have experience with a SS install. This is for an 07 WRX TR. I live in Arlington but I can travel. I work in downtown Seattle every day so a commute isn't out of the question. Can either post here or send me a PM. Thanks! ![]()

this is a 12mm socket and 5 minutes if I remember correctly.
I'd be happy to help if our schedules work, but I would strongly advise you to try it yourself. |

Well the gfs 11 wrx did. It holds the bottom of the shifter sleeve inside there. Its really simple. I did her 5 speed and my 6 speed. Are you thinking of the reverse lockout? That was a little more difficult but not as bad as the directions were making it. Good luck.

^^it is even easier on the 05-07's because the console is easier to remove.
1. Unscrew the shift knob. 2. Grab the rear most portion of the shifter surround (closest to the cupholders) and pull backwards. This pops the shifter surround off. 3. unplug the harness for the cigarette lighter (surround will be completely free now to remove) 4. unbolt shifter from fork (one 12mm bolt I think) 5. pop shifter out of cup 6. reinstall in opposite order |
