so i just installed my carbon fiber hood and trunk on my car and my trunk just opens at a un-controllable speed. i think the springs are designed for the OEM weighted trunk and not the CF one. is there anyway to change the springs?
i still want the trunk to swing open when i push the button on my key but at a speed that wont break anything. thanks i tried to do a search and couldnt find anything.

put the trunk springs from a basic impreza without a wing. They are the softest springs you can get.

i did this on my old 97 impreza, went from winged trunk to a CF one and we would put things on the trunk and see how far they would fly
