Default Repainting 05 OBP STi. Change Color?

My 05 OBP Sti is going in for paint within the next week or 2. Ive considered going going for a different color. Im in love with the Plasma Blue Pearl that comes on the New Sedans.

Would anyone consider going this route?

And as far as my Resale Value is concerned, from a perspective buyer would a respray PBP increase or decrease the vehicles value. Jams will be done. Bay will remain OBP and be detailed thoroughly.

Could anyone perhaps photoshop the car?

I don't think color changes ever increase value.

maybe i put it out wrong. Im more concerned with it putting a limitation to my buyers. Would Plasma Blue pearl be preferred over obsidian black pearl?
I know black has a limited buyers pool because of its upkeep. so i figured if PBP would be a better option im all for it im leaning towards pulling the trigger very soon. Just want some Subaru Community .02

It would scare buyers away that the car was repainted. So color wouldnt matter.

I think it would look pretty cool.
I can't imagine it would change the resale value that much, as long as you don't do some goofy color you should be fine.
I for one would like to see an older body style in PBP.

Personally, I would ask questions why the car was painted, and get a little weary of that.

Also, if you're going to do that. Better paint door jambs and engine bay.

I've seldom seen a complete color change that is done right. It seems like most shops cut corners. Nothing is worse than opening a trunk, door, hood and seeing a different color.

Like others have said, a complete repaint will scare a lot of potential buyers away.

Not to mention that you if you do it right and get a quality paint job, you're not going to get that money back out of it on resale. No one is going to pay an extra $5-$6k because its been repainted.

Since it's black, and the car would be repainted, the engine bay wouldn't be the worst thing. Not like Subaru matches the engine bay to the car anyways.
The jams would definitely need to be painted though.
Now somebody needs to do this, I want to see it.

bottom line is a complete color change nevers looks original unless you pay alot of money and a complete color change WILL lower the amount of people intrested in buying the car. So theres no positive thing about changing the paint on your car, just to sell it.

You are painting it for a reason in the back of my mind I'm thinking. The dude dropped 5k for paint so either he messed something up big time or he has a lot of mula and doesn't take care of his ****. Might not be the case but that is what I would be thinking especially on a car such as an Sti. Also consider what your car is worth say 20k you spend this 5k or so you will get NO added value to your car so you could literally Paypal me 5000$ just think on it.
