Default Keyless push start mod for race car build

I have a 2005 STI that has been my 100% track car since 2008 and currently it still has the factory wiring harness and factory ecu. I'm getting tired of still having to use the factory key to start the car. I really like to one of these to start my race car:

Since my car is a 05 and therefore, it has this little chip build into my key I believe so, does anyone here know how to wire up that panel to use a push start? What about the chip in the key that maybe needed to be able to start the car with the factory system? Would i ned to totally get rip of the factory wiring system and re-wire the entire car to do this?

I'm looking for any info on how to re-wire the ignition on the 05 STI. Any help on this will be appreciated.

You'd need an ecu without an immobilizer.

Perhaps a 04 ecu will work on my 05 stock wiring harness and it will plug-n-play?

Or leave your spare key behind the dash...

thats my thinking, or just leave the key in all the time and have a push button ignition, and use the ON/OFF switch to turn the 12v to the car on/off.

Well with this immobilizer feature, I guess it is a real pain to do this. I was hoping that switching to the 04 ecu I can do what I want without using or having the key at all.

I think the next logical step would be to use a stand-a-lone ecu.

I think the people who install remote starts mount a spare key unless there is a bypass available for that model.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking of doing if that's the easiest way to do this.

I would just hide the key and ignition inside the dash somewhere. Have an on off switch for the battery and a push start button. Seems the easiest way.
