Pic Request: 15x7 wheels. Trouble choosing offset.
I need help choosing an offset for the Braid Winrace TA's i'm ordering. Didn't find the right info on what would work best for me during my search on the forum. I'm mostly having trouble visualizing what they will look like and not finding a lot of images with cars with 7" wide wheels (GC model) except for stockers with the typical 53 offset. Any images would be appreciated! My car is a 99 GC (2 door), on KYB AGX's, not lowered. They will be 15x7. Thinking the tires will be 205/60/15. I don't want my wheels and tires to be hidden in the wheel wells. My buddy let me put on his 16x7's and they were a 40 offset. The rear was perfect, but the front stuck out too far past the fenders. I'm assuming a 50 offset would be my best choice? Any pictures and advice would be appreciated!

What do you not like about the +53mm pictures that makes you want to go with something else?
I don't understand how a 16x7 +45 could have stuck out too far on your GC. If anything, fitment should be better/easier up front than in the rear. Are you running 0 camber up front or something? |

The only person that can answer that question is you, since your opinion of what looks "right" is probably not the same as mine. Take some measurements with what's on the car now to figure out where you'd want them, then just do the math to figure out what you would need to order to accomplish the same effect. |

What I'm trying to "accomplish" is making a 15x7 wheel with 205's or possibly 215's sit perfectly flush with the fenders. That's why i'm seeking advice on offset. Camber is stock. Another example: Today I put on a set of 17x7 225/55/17 et48 (from 07 Outback) just to get a visual of what a 7" wide wheel with a different offset would look like, and the front clearly stuck out past my fenders. Now granted they were 225's, but would going with the 205's or 215's make a noticeable difference?
Both images are the drivers side front. Last edited by RS-99; 11-24-2012 at 12:48 AM. |

You'll most likely want to be in the 40-45 range for a 7" wheel. |
