installed the avh-8400 bh today with a Boyo VTK-Mini camera. took pics of install by my installer. will take pics of headunit and camera, didn't get to see how camera performs too dark and it was late. Got 8400 for 470 price match from amazon. the 5500 didn't arrive in time, since the difference between the two was $20 i went for the 8400.

i believe seeing a jdm dash kit which eliminates the gap, I don't really care about it so not a deal breaker. I did not install sirus or xm if I did i would have put atenna next to tweeters by the window as I saw another member do. cost with all the stuff plus steering control, break override, etc was 900 total.

Thanks for the reply.. appreciate it. Without SAT Radio? Just curious why you would not add. Did you do this for the Rear View only? Either way.. it does look nice, sure it is better than the crappy head unit I have on a Sport Limited with No friggin Sat Radio. Good Luck, hope you are enjoying it.

Didn't get sat radio because I have a 64gig USB with music along with movies pandora
And all the Internet radios you can have. No point paying for sat radio just not my thing which is why I did not install the antenna. I can install it anytime in the future prob take 10 mins

Hey guys, just chiming in on having sat rad- I paid a one time fee a few years for lifetime service of siruis radio before the merger of siruis-xm. I do also the pioneer radio avh-3500bhs in my '13 wrx hatch. I got a minute problem - I can't adjust my preferences for picture. I looked in the manual and it said to make sure RGB input is set to - NAVI , did that. Car is running with e-brake up because it said you can't adjust while driving. Is there something else I overlooked? I was able to adjust it when I first starting scrolling thru everything.
