Default 02 WRX Automatic with 05 STI cluster swap - Video / Explanation

Bought what I thought to be an 04 STI cluster, Ended up being an 05 STI cluster. Reason being I think its 05 is because like I've read, the left side plug had to be modified because the housing was too big for the plug to line up correctly and the ABS and rear differential temp lights were both on. Plus in addition to cutting the wire in the middle plug that blows the radio fuse, I had to cut one wire in the right plug of the cluster because it was doing to buzzing for reverse polarity. I've read that the 04 STI cluster is plug and play into a 02 WRX minus cutting wire in the middle plug so you don't blow the radio fuse.

I ended up using two layers of electrical tape over the DCCD, ABS, Rear Diff Temp. Lights. Figured I'd upload this video because all the ones i have seen, no one ever starts up the car, they only put it into accessory mode.

Please ignore what I said in the video about not having a security light, it does. What it does not do unlike the normal factory cluster is the whole cluster does not light up when you arm the alarm, only the blinkers light up. I'd assume this is because the cluster is setup to light up after the opening sweep. It's pretty nice for the most part though.

Even though i have an auto, i still like having the Speedo to the right because that way I don't have to move my hand when I drive to always be checking my speed. Yes I know, one should never drive just in the 12o'clock position, it's a bad habit I can't beat =P

*update*

Cluster's speedo is off confirmed via GPS. No dyno or anything but GPs shows speedo reports +2mph then it should be. No biggie, I'll live without a speedo healer
