New 2013 WRX Owner :D

Hey guys,

New owner of a 2013 WRX. I'm coming off of a 2010 Accord Coupe v6 and have to say there is no comparison with this car! I've always been into cars and want to start modding this. Looking forward to all your help and of course the search function!

To be honest, not really sure! I figured I would start with exhaust and a cold air intake and go from there. Need to do some more research.

Yep. Your last statement is the most important. For the engine, tuning is the first thing to consider. You can make considerable gains with tuning, whereas an air intake and a catback exhaust are just noisemakers on a stock 2013 WRX. A downpipe and tune will give you a large jump in horsepower and torque.

Do keep in mind, the mods I just suggested may cause a powertrain warranty claim you make to be denied by Subaru of America. Hopefully that never happens to you. If you want to assure your powertrain warranty remains intact, stay stock until it expires.

You need to do a lot of research man, don't throw a CAI on the car without a protune. This is no joke, you can seriously hurt your car.

Now that I've seen all the pictures, first step before anything = debadge all but the WRX on your car. That's one of the fruitiest dealership tack on logos I've ever seen! What is that a peacock?

de-badging is super easy and well worth the effort, especially if the car is new because they will come off easier.

I have just 'STi' on mine and love how clean it looks. I didn't debadge for a couple years then got around to it and wish I had sooner.

But the cherries need to go like now. As in walk outside and peel that shiz off then re-post pictures now.

1. Don't threadjack (start your own thread).

2. But, in this case, search for the exhaust compilation. It's a HUGE thread that (you guessed it) is a compilation of exhausts for GR cars (2008+ STi, probably 2011+ WRX).

You should really hear some exhausts in person before you pull the trigger on a $1000 exhaust or something. Attend a local meet and establish your own ideas for what you want out of an exhaust. Take Youtube vids with a grain of salt because well, it's Youtube. Exhaust is something you'll end up hearing and even feeling in your car. Don't get something you end up hating.

Depends on if you want loud or not. The spt is enough for my 2011 dd with a Cobb dp. I hear the greddy is even quieter. If you want louder exhaust the n1 or nameless is really good.
