Default Reflash options

Which MYs are able to be reflashed? I though the '99+ ECUs (basically, when the N/A cars shifted to Phase II SOHC engines) were flashable. However, when I look at the Tactrix / OpenECU stuff, they say '05+ only.

So what's the story with the '99-04 ECUs? Are they reflashable with other software (just not with OpenECU)?

I know the 03's cannot be reflashed, piggyback or standalone only.

check this thread at rs25 about Enduring Solutions. Looks like just the 99 and older ecus and maybe not even USDM but worth a look. It's a solder in daughter board that allows flashing on the jecs ecu.

I believe Crawford was one of the few who could flash the N/A 2001 or 2002 thru 2004 ECUs, they had several pre-tuned stages SRS-20/SRS-30:stock, stock+exhaust, etc. Not sure if it was still listed on thier site, may need to contact them.

It was 99-02 and they stopped doing it. I had contacted them a little over a year ago asking about my 03 and they shot me down saying it couldn't done.

Bummer! Still not an option for me. I wonder what the difference is between 02 and 03?
