Thanks, I can't wait to drive it each day. Question I have the stock radio with Bluetooth and USB. When I hook my I-phone 4 to the USB when the Bluetooth is enabled, it doesn't play music (it goes to pause, but doesn't unpause). But when the Bluetooth is disabled, it plays just fine. It plays fine through the Bluetooth too. Does anyone else have this problem, ways to fix? Dealership says that it is the phone, not the car.

When you plug it in, do you have the stereo set to the USB mode? Or do you switch to the USB after plugging it in?

I have also noticed that if you pair the phone using the voice commands versus pairing it straight from the radio the results are a lot better on how the phone connects/disconnects and plays.

And congrats...I have had mine now for 16 months and it puts a smile on my face still very day!

If you're playing over Bluetooth why are you plugging into the USB as well? Are you trying to use it as a charger?

You can charge it and play over Bluetooth but my iPhone 4 did the same thing with pausing and I never figured out how to change it before I changed the head unit

This is what I do:

Connect the iPhone to the USB, it will show it's not charging.
Change the radio to USB, it will start to charge.
Switch the radio to Bluetooth, play the music over bluetooth, and it will still charge now.

Enjoy

Welcome and congrats on your 1st Scoobie!! My 04 blue WRX is my 1st Subaru also but now at 122K miles I'm trading on up to the 13 STi. I've loved every minute with my WRX but have always wanted the STi. The only reason I went with WRX was b/c I wasn't sure if I wanted a 5 speed b/c it would be my 1st one ever.

No it charges and everything. I just believe that the quality of sound is much superior coming straight from the USB rather than over the Bluetooth. I'm strapped for cash with the car loan and all, so a new head unit is out of the question.

love the choice-nice to see another girl with a wrx!! i have a 2011 wrb sedan! where are you in NE?

i dont know if its different for the 13 but if you switch to the USB mode instead of bluetooth it should play just fine. Thats what i do with mine.

A girl?! haha sweet car! I would just play over USB, you're right about the quality. USB will be the best quality of sound.
