Default Fact or Fiction? Enkei is parent company of Advan/Yokohama

Hey everyone I read somewhere that enkei is the parent company to advan/yokohama but there was no proof to back this up and I havnt been able to dig anything up. Has anyone heard of this or have a link to prove it?

Enkei is NOT the parent company of Yokohama/ADVAN.

Yea I didn't think so. If I find the quote I read I'll link it. Either way both make good quality wheels.

Yokohama is a publicly traded company on the Tokyo stock exchange ... Have been in business in north america since 1969.

Yokohama is NOT owned by Enkei wheels

I heard they're both owned through various shell companies by Rota.

According to this page from Yokohama Rubber's corporate web site, the largest corporate shareholder is Zeon Corporation, with 8.5% voting rights.

thats some good info, nice find!

and as far as enkei having ricer junk, some of the styles look that way but the quality is still pretty good, i have a set thats not from their racing line and they hold up even on terrible ny streets! even when i had my volks i had 2 bends. it sucks paying soo much for a nice jdm wheel and it gets ruined due to horrible road surfaces.
