You just had to go there Ivan lol in due time.

Quick update. Put two more layers of fiberglass and it is now sturdy enough. It cured the other day and tonight I trimmed the edges and started to smooth the bottom out. Need to fix a few problems areas that occurred from the layup that were stupid mistakes. I've already come up with a way to prevent from happening again. Almost ready for production! Sadly no pictures as I forgot the camera both nights, I no don't hate me.

If you want updates the night I work on it I pretty much always post atleast one picture on Instagram of my progress. Follow me at lawrx

Ok guys small update. Edges are all trimmed, bottom has been sand, and most of the top has. The few minor hiccups were filled and sanded smooth. Tomorrow night I will be pulling my bumper off and making the mounting brackets and possibly the center fins. I will upload some pictures in a bit!

alrighty update time. its been mounted for the first time!!!!

now that i got that excitement out the way, ive come up with a mounting solution. there is minor trimming required on the rear fender liners for the mount brackets, but it is very simple. also on some aftermarket exhaust some trimming may be required just after the y split, you will see the clearance in the pictures below.

now, the somewhat controversal center mounting point at the front of the diffuser (section near the rear diff) the only feasible sturdy solution i came up with is basically a u bracket that connects to the diffuser, goes up and bolts to the trunk floor. i drew out the general area of where the bolt heads would be, and also took one of the drain plugs out to show that the trunk floor is only a single layer of steel. the bolts heads will in no way affect the spare tire going in and out, so that is of no concern. but it does require you to drill two small holes for the bolts to go through.

Have you been able to test fit this with an aftermarket exhaust? Just curious how much space (opening) will be with bigger exhaust tip like invidia q300 and the distance to the Y-Pipe.

I like the progress of this and would love to have one on my car!

no i havent yet. there is no one in my area and what i have on my car right now is the nameless axleback muffler delete witht he 3' tips. 4'' tips will fit it out perfectly, as i measured.the distance from the bottom of the bumper to the diffuser in the exhaust outlet area is 6''.and some minor trimming may be required on some exhaust. at the y pipe area depending.
