Nothing is wrong. It's a recirculating valve.

its making noise.. you just cant hear it because it takes the extra pressure and dumps it into a hose that runs to the turbo inlet pipe.. so the air gets "recirculated" instead of the "blow off" noise where it takes the extra pressure and expells it through a bell housing or whistle on a blow OFF valve and thats where you get your noise.. if you don't want to spend any more money, plug off the recirc. dump hose with a big plug and clamp it down and let the bypass dump atmospherically.. you'll get some sort of noise.. itll make your car run a little differently though.. but run nonetheless.

Dude how in the world do you get a "Subie Specialist" title and not even know what a recirc BPV is!?!?!?!?!

Do I just need to post like 1000 DUMB questions before i get that???
