Default Randomly started running lean today?

I have an 09 STi, stock except for COBB SF Intake + Airbox and Cobb AP. I was running the stage 1 sf intake + airbox 93 octane tune, and everything had been running fine until now. In 1st through 4th gear my afr fluctuates constantly between 13.5 and 12.9, somewhere around there. In 5th, and ESPECIALLY 6th gear, just cruising on the highway around 2700 RPMs making no boost, my AFR is in the 12's, sometimes as low as 12.2. Then randomly out of nowhere it will go back up to about 13.1 and drop back down to 12's only a few seconds later. WOT is usually in the low 11's. I have prosport gauges though, so could they possibly just be giving me a crappy reading?

Running in the 12's while cruising is RICH. Way too rich for cruising. 13.1 is still way too rich for cruising. Low 11's in WOT isn't really too lean. Are you sure your wideband is accurate? I've only used romraider so I'm not sure if the accessport can do it but does it allow you to log the car's O2 sensor? If it does, the car's O2 sensor will be more accurate then your wideband (while cruising).

Sounds like you're using a wideband sensor with prosport to read your afr? If you're getting 13 in cruising situations, the most likely explanation is that your gauge is inaccurate. Prosports aren't exactly know for their stellar reliability.

Have you gotten a CEL indicating too lean or rich?

I would bet the gauges are off. Until you find out for sure I would not be in boost too much.

First off you are running RICH, not lean. You should be at or around 14.7 while cruising. Lower numbers=richer.

Second, prosport gauges are rebadged ebay glowshifts. This isn't a guess, I have had both apart in my hands at the same time, they are IDENTICAL, so yes, your gauges are almost definitely giving you bad info. Even if by some miracle its right, its still a junk gauge.

Your motor costs a lot more than a decent set of gauges. Buy quality gauges.

I'm really just confused right now lol first my car is running too lean so I buy the AP and now it's too rich. I tried reflashing and nothing happened. If I uninstalled and reinstalled my map would that help?

We're you going off the Prosport for you afr's in stock and modded form? Buy a AEM wide band please then get back to us. Or get on a dyno and do some pulls while logging your afr's with the dyno's sensor
