Exclamation Holy 4-wheel Dyno Batman!

For those of you that don't know about Curry's Auto Service in Chantilly, Virginia; I have some very important news and want broach something with the group. Matt Curry has been serving the Chantilly / Northern Virginia high performance crowd for the past few years. He has all the most sophisticated mounting, balancing, and alignment equipment. They can get any tire, wheel combo that you desire. His techs are some of the best in the Northern Virginia Area. His establishment is manned by the most competent professionals and these guys cater to the "Go Fast and Handle Well!" crowd. Matt is a car enthusiast and can drive the hell out of any car, I know cause we've been around Summit Point many times together. He has done so well with BMW's, Audi's, Porsche's, Mazda's and even done some work to install Scooby 4-pot brakes on a i-club member's car. Curry's is expanding!!! A new shop will be opening in Ashburn, Virginia near the AOL campus. This facility will be state of the art and even have a 4-wheel dyno, one of only 6 in the United States. I want us to get together with Matt Curry and his staff to tour his new facility once it opens (which will be soon) and get the word out to all our Scooby / i-Club bretheren. I intend on working with Matt to set this up. But be aware all the other clubs have the same idea. What is the interest for having a meet there for this purpose? If this generates enough buzz we can get on the calendar. Start letting me know.

Yeah, I'd be interested. Even though mine is basically, I'd like a baseline assessment for gauging the effectiveness of mods.

Plus, that's damn close to me.

This is great! I just started using Currys for my auto-x alignments and tire mounting. It was the first time my car had accurately balanced tires since it was new! I highly reccomend them, if they can keep up the level of service they have now they are unbeatable.

Do they stock kumho 712's? I want to get a set locally, I don't feel like messing with getting them shipped. Anyone have contact information, or an address for their current location?

Glad to see everyone is listening. Yes, they can get the Kumho 712's in two days. Tell 'em Mike Gayle sent you. Prices are comparable to Tire Rack. Keep those posts coming. I will be speaking with Matt today when I pick my car up.

Not to take attention away from the shop at hand, but regarding Flashboy's comment...

CDE Motorsports does a good job on alignment, IMO, though it can often be a two week wait for their services.

CDE has a wait list for alignments? Currys did mine in 2hrs with no appt! And last time I got a quote from CDE it was over $100, Currys charged $75 C

I am in...probably the only MY99 Legacy 2.5 GT in the crowd though!!!

...but I am excited to find out how much gain I get with Rallispec's CAI, Borla's Gen. 3 SS Headers, Rallispec's Catback SS Exhaust, Unorthodox Pulley, Magnecor 8.5mm wire, NGK Spark Plugs which are one step colder for my Zex Kit with a 55HP shot, and MSD DIS-2...hopefulley all installed by next month!!!

My wheel and tire package that I am looking at is Volk Racing SE37K 17x7 (which I can get for $500 ea.) and Toyo Proxes T1-S (which I can get for $149 ea.)...What can they do for me???

Custom Four wheel would be very nice...especially if they install H&R springs, Cusco FR & RR adj. pillowball mounts, FR & RR STi Control Arm bushings, and FR Whiteline Anti-Lift Castor Kit...which all have not come in from Pam at ISR!!!

Let me know when and where!!!

Volvo,

Your alignments are spot on. Just making a commentary on the very few good alignment places in the area. European Auto is one of them (plug )
