FTW Purple is a heavily oxygenated pure racing bred E85. Has an octane rating of 120+ as well. Its pretty much good for anything making big HP, but cant run methanol based fuel due to class rules/restrictions.

FTW Clear is straight up hardcore racing fuel. If you need this stuff you are making some serious power. The purple runs in 1200hp 4cyls, so this is naturally the next step if you have managed to build a 1200+hp 4 banger lol.

The Purple in my findings needed another 20-25% fuel over my e85 mapping. With e98 I usually need around 15%. Power gains to be had? From switching to FTW over normal e98 should be around 5-6% across the board. On a car like mine were I have exhausted all power output on the setup, it is well worth seeing the 40-50whp gains. That translates to another 2-3mph at the strip to me.

I would say that 95% of the people will be fine with the purple. I would put clear in those 1500-1600hp 2jz/vr motors or some crazy high compression forced induction v8. You will need A L O T of fuel to run that stuff, I would guess mechanical fuel pump and a base of 100psi since the IDs will move some serious fuel flow at high pressure.

Update on my stuff, I made 660 by adding a reg and bumping up the base to 70psi. Still out of fuel but the graph got smoother to 5500rpm with the extra fuel.
Tony @ T1 hooked me up big time as he usually does and I am receiving my id2000s and complete rail/fuel setup from them today. I was going to toss in some smaller injectors and go play, but I figured with the up coming winter mods I will need the fuel system anyway
Thank you for the great information! This stuff will be available for purchase soon? I'd be interested in going from e98 to try the purple but won't need it till January or so. It's expensive but it's basically free horsepower (if that makes sense haha).

And very nice GTR! If I hadn't built a subaru I could afford a GTR lol!

Stuff is readily available for purchase.

Update

Went to a track rental yesterday with a few other GTRs . Made about 20-22 passes with the majority of them in the 10.12-10.20 range. I made my best pass ever on the oem 20" wheels. 10.1@138.65 with straight e85, 1.71 60ft 95% of the passes were done on pump e85 and the 20s to burn off the e85.
I then switched to the FTW and 18s all around, and made another 4 10.1@136-138mph passes cutting a 1.57 60ft, 4.28 330 and 6.49 1/8th ... Still only a 10.12@138.XX lol
I messed up and mixed my FTW with e85, making the FTW basically useless 2 gallons of e85 3 gallons of FTW. The fuel map was a disaster because I had tuned it for straight FTW.

Going to try and get out one more time this year. This time I will figure out draining it, then swap in. For now I will enjoy having the fastest/quickest stock turbo gtr on the oem wheels lol

Oh and on another note ... Mike@Innovative tuning is a ****ing racer BRO!! He text me at 11pm the day before that he was making the 8hr drive to race his TA GC8. He clicked off a few 10.60s@130+ with his stock motor car on freaking Hoosier road race tires!! Something broke in the diff so his day ended early, but he stuck around to help and watch me run a bunch of 10.1s lol. Then made the same 8hr+ ride home. Very cool dude, and had a blast hanging out with you.

Jr on the aem you usually keep your boost breakpoints linear or you try and guess where peak boost is going to be and give yourself more adjustment in that area??

I keep it linear based off the power-band and general spool characteristics if I am just using the main Boost WGD tables. I like using the rpm/tps tables or VSS

Oh cool was jw. When I setup tunes I usually give myself some fine adjustment in the vacuum idle area and from there I keep it linear breakpoint wise.

Only bad thing I noticed at least it seems bad is that you only get 16 breakpoints in aem1. So if your tuning stuff like you do where boost is high your making big steps like 0/4/8/12/16 psi.

Would be cool to have like 20 or 22 break points.

And sounds like tens is as good as it gets on power/wheel combo.

Does it spin or hook?

If someone was using no launch control (talking subaru here) just blurping the throttle, can it only make like 1psi boost, or can you actually get boost using no launch control

when I took off it was building boost, then just dumped the clutch at like 5500, spun all the tires and all, was wondering if this was just like we'd do with a non turbo car burning out, or was the 1 pound enough for some great 1.60's spinning all the tires

You might only get 1-2 psi free revving but as soon as you start adding some load and getting off the clutch boost goes up fast.

When you get the timing right this actually works very well just tricky.

Oh in that aspect yea, I use less vacuum area and rescale

It went 10.1 on the 20s and 10.1 on the 18s... Think I just need to tweak the LC a little more on the sticky tires. I can get it to hook 1.5s on the 20s when its a little warmer out.

Yea you can alter that stuff. Right now the DBA 12+ cars don't have any boost off the line as of yet.

Good to meet you finally after all these years. Traction degraded later in the day when you put the better tires on so you didn't get to improve your 60'. Between a little better 60' and straight purple drink power I'm expecting you to be the first GTR in the 9s on stock turbos.

Frustrating as it was to you, it was cool to watch you stack 10.1-10.2 passes all day in a stock turbo street car.

I went back and looked at logs. My Subaru was spinning straight into the limiter through most of the eighth so I wanted to see if the car was out of shape and I just lost it when I crashed, but that's not the case. Something definitely broke. Lateral Gs bumped a little (.1-.2) during the 3-4 shift, but settled to ~0 and then at the top of 4th gear the car suddenly took a 0.7 G turn at the wall. It felt like a rear axle failure, but it seems to be a diff this time. **** happens. I'll be back with drag slicks, DCCD locked, and a better rear diff after we fix the car.

Yep Andy, couldn't agree more. The Syvecs GT-R package is bloody awesome. Will be doing one in the coming time on a Alpha 12 package.
