Default Seeking advice - getting new rotors

Quick question fellow subyheads, searched for a minute but couldn't find the specific information i am looking for.

My front rotors have a big lip in them. It is to the point where they aren't worth machining down to re-use. My question to you is, do I pay for OEM brembo rotors and replacement OEM pads (around $700) or do I buy some DBA rotors and stoptech performance pads for around the same price. Just looking for some opinions on whether the DBA is worth it or if I should just pay for the replacement brembo parts ordered from the factory.

Thanks a lot guys.

You go to knsbrakes.com and buy what fits your budget. My vote is centric rotors and stoptech pads for a daily driver.

i have dba 4000's and stoptech pads and love the combo. i have about 15k on them and they are wearing, very little though and evenly. they even have about a dozen auto-x's on them. i picked mine up from kns brakes... awesome company and great people. i agree with teiva though, centric rotors w/ stoptech pads for a dd just for the price point.

Better idea, call up knsbrakes.com and tell them what car you have, and your goals and they will tell you exactly what to get. That's what I did and I haven't regretted it. I won't ever go to any other place for brakes ever again

It does sound like an add, but KNS is the place for brakes.

Centric rotors work great and won't break the bank.

went with 4 centric rotors and 2 sets of stoptech performance pads. Goodridge SS lines and a Grimspeed master cylinder brace.
