They're back at it. Practice at the Isle of Man.

keep tuned in to your TV's. There should be coverage coming up on Discovery channel.

The 848's should be in the realm with the evo motors.

Mike pm your number lets go for a ride on Monday. I got a little surprise for you haha.

I just saw the new Honda 750 and I want it! On a side note I'm thinking of riding out to Hatcher's Pass later today. Any updates on road conditions?

Here's something interesting...

Stealth motorcycle for special forces being tested

Oh, and saw one of these Saturday at Hatcher Pass Lodge...kind of neat except for the top box it had.

If you thought the Isle of Man was nuts, Imagine lining up with a big pack of bikes and going wide open on liter bikes down narrow country roads. Houses, Stone walls, and barbed wire inches off the road.

At the isle, they leave the start at timed intervals. These guys leave in a big group all at once.
These guys ARE MEN.

I saw padding/haybales in a couple corners. Boo. I ordered a used gastank for my bike which should be here next week. I found a three step system for de rusting and re-sealing my current tank at Yamaha but its fairly involved so hopefully I can just pop on the used tank while I work on the other. I also got my Madstad touring windshield which I ordered before all this happened. It's a nice piece that arrived with what looks like military grade hardware. After installing it I really can't wait to get back on the bike! Hopefully everything gets here next week!

I wanted to yank your chain and succeeded, a little. The bales and pads are an illusion of safety. At those speeds if one thing goes wrong you die quickly-if your lucky. I admire their gigantic you-know-whats, but as with pilots I bet you will find old motorcycle racers or bold motorcycle racers but no old, bold motorcycle racers.

Rossi fastest in free practice 2 for the Barcelona round in MotoGP.

Hoping that this is his weekend. I would like to see someone besides a Spaniard win a race this season! To see the Italian win in Spain would be icing on the cake.

They're hitting 212 MPH down the straight, faster than Formula One cars in Barcelona. Gonna be a helluva show.

Single-Motorcycle Crash Injures Man, Closes Old Glenn Highway

By Chris Klint

Channel 2 News

4:35 PM AKDT, June 14, 2013

ANCHORAGE, Alaska

Alaska State Troopers are responding to a single-motorcycle crash which left the rider seriously injured and closed the Old Glenn Highway Friday afternoon.

AST spokesperson Beth Ipsen says troopers first received reports of the wreck, at the Old Glenn’s intersection with Bodenburg Loop, just before 4 p.m. Friday. Responding troopers have closed the highway to allow an air ambulance to land at the scene, so he can be taken to an area hospital.

“The man is going to be flown out of there,” Ipsen said. “The road is going to be closed -- we just don’t know for how long.”

Ipsen says the duration of the closure depends in part on the severity of the man’s injuries, and the extent of troopers’ subsequent investigation of the crash.

We had a guy go down on a group ride today. We had just had a close call in the group and agreed to take it easy. Well he decided to fly by us and it didnt end well.

Saw this guy today up here in Prudhoe Bay. He rode all the way from Houston Texas. The bike was pretty cool! Both the rear tires were drive tires, I thought that was pretty awesome.

I'm sorry I laughed so hard. Hopefully he's okay but sometimes it's accidents like this that are needed to really bring people down to earth.

It reminds me of someones analysis of another crash ... "He went in Hot and ran out of skill".

Or as Casey Stoner told Rossi after being taken out by the Champion, "Your ambition outweighs your talent."

Had a good ride with Alex, Phil, Sonny and Josh. Superb weather. Appreciate the good company. Rides don't get much better than that.

I'll up load some video here in a bit.
