Haha i know you do. Ive seen your build thread over on DIYMA. Looks like its coming along well so far. So far I love the equipment. I can crank up the volume with zero noise unlike my old chineese amps lol.

Hopefully i will get some progress done soon. I go back to school in a month and I want it done.

It's nice to see people still using good quality amps and equipment in their rides... I'm an old car audio industry guy and am just about to start my install using Old PPI Powerclass amps, focal components, JL subs...

Cant wait to see the completed pics...

https://www.madisound.com/store/prod...roducts_id=633

Tweeter and mid in a dash/pillar pod, midbasses in the door and the 10" obviously in the trunk.. I can't wait to seethe dash pods.

I can't tell from the pics does your car have the stock 02-04 console or ahve you upgraded to the '05-07 console?

where are you going to mount the controller for the MS-8? Is your car a stick or auto?

I'm just excited to see another (besides Aaron'z, mine <in my head> ) WRX build.

Pics look great. Keep 'em coming.

I'm digging the older SS References I nearly went that way but decided I couldn't pass on an 20th anniversary a/d/s 8 ch.

I will be watching this looks very promising and another reminder to get some work done on my car.

I'm interested. I used to run all that old Soundstream stuff. Wish like Hell I would've kept it.

Hey I don't know much but I think you might be happer if your mids and tweets are closer together so you minimize the PLD. Just my to cents what matters is how it sounds to you.

They will be closer once I get them fiberglassed in. The mid is sitting on the dash right now but it will be a few inches higher so that the pillar is easily removable once the pods are glassed in. Thank you for the concern though!

True. But i will be happy when its all done, and hopefully I have a few tricks that will make it a bit easier.

Heres a few things Ive been working on.....still waiting on fiberglass to get this moving.

Quick disconnect area for the box.

What the Daytons look like in my door....they look awesome if you ask me. Im gonna get come clean stainless allen head bolts for the finishing look.

Here is a quick mock up of the pillar for a fitment check and I have to say I dont like it...I think Im gonna make smaller rings and try to sink it into the pillar more.

I have any awesome idea for the dash pods since I have access to a machine shop! The center console is a a 05-07 that I swapped...best upgrade for a bugeye imo lol. The ms-8 is either gonna get mounted in the center console flip door where the cig lighter is or in the drivers sail panel unless others have any ideas? I havent really gotten there yet since it is still on my list of s*** I dont wanna buy cause its not cheap lol. And yes my car is a stick.
