Default thread/pitch size for oil galley plugs in B25 head

Hey guys,

I've been searching all over for this and can't seem to find it. I'm looking to confirm the size of the small set screws/plugs in the heads. You know the ones that snap the 5mm allen keys and always strip .

I know they are available as a dealer part at $5+, but I want to know the size so I can replace all of them at less than $5 ea.

from what I can measure, they are 1/8"-28 BSP(Taper)

Can anyone confirm my findings?

Thanks!

Eric

Where is the plug on the cylinder head I will try to look asap. But an easy way would be to use a box wrench to see the MM 10-12-14 ect. and the thread is probably a 1.25-1.5 thread

It probably won't be 1/8" considering it's metric. Put a pic up if possible or try breaking the old ones free with an impact driver like the one used to remove rotor screws. Hope it helps

Not my pic, but it is the small plug to the left of the "B25" casting stamp.

There should be 6-8 of them per head and i think all the oil related items on the car are in PT or BST but not sure.

Thanks for the help!
