Default 02 wrx only boosting 5psi

My 02 wrx just rebuilt the engine, don't really have any emissions devices hooked up car idles a little high and was boosting just fine then I plugged in the maf and the car did not like it, started to try and stall , unplugged it and now it will only boost 5 psi any suggestions?

I just asked a friend of mine who has a '04 WRX and he said to check all of your boost lines to make sure all the connections are tight, because if they're loose, you could be leaking boost somewhere. But your MAF sensor issue, sadly I have no clue.

Ya everything is good and snug , o ya when I put on cruise conrtrol it will boost over 5 psi no problem

Ya I think I might have figured it out ya everything is stock besides internals , think its my boost contrôler unplugged it and now it's boosting just fine

So you unplugged your boost controller or are you saying the hose was disconnected?
