Post Anyone into local music ?

The Baltimore area is home to some great musical talents. I was wondering if anyone else on the Mid-Atlantic board is into the local scene? Some of my personal favorites include: Laughing Colors, Kelly Bell, Jah Works, Fidel, Live Alien Broadcast , Ballyhoo!, Brickfoot, Spinfire, and a whole bunch more. Has anyone heard of or, like any of these bands?

Jah Works Rules!, Kelly Bell is a great act to catch as well. Blue Miracle isnt bad either. The former lead singer for Orange Whip used to be one of my artists (when I was an Art Director in College Park) and I used to work with the lead singer from the Free Radicals (aka Deep SA).

If anyone can get me a copy of the new Jah Works CD, I'd really appreciate it. I'd be more than happy to send a check.

Local music in Tampa blows! Most of the scene is cover bands of 80's metal. I havn't found any good reggae bands down here.

Narso-

Well if you like Robin and you like Lisa, try out a little Kinsale. We'll be on the main stage at the Baltimore Irish Festival on Sunday, April 29. And our CD release party is at J. Patrick's in Locust Point on May 11!!

Once I get the rock band back in a club somewheres, I'll let y'all know. Instead of a biker bar, it would look like a Soob bar or something. We could all park right out front and....

Lucien,

Too bad I have an autocross this Sunday down in the far reaches of southern Virginia - I'd love to see you guys play. Although May 11th in Locust Point is feasible. I like that area, hell, I used to bounce at a bar down there. PM me with details, please.

Cool

I love Jah Works. They play occasionally at the Recher in Towson. Always a good time. Of course, I lean toward the old fart/folky stuff like John Hiatt and locals Robin Bullock and Lisa Moscatiello. I'm always up for new stuff. Any show at the Recher is fine with me
