Default Introducing the new 3 cylinder subaru.

OK so the title may be misleading... but it got you in here no?

Figured i would share the carnage with you guys. This was not my doing, the PO ran it 10k over the oil change and the connecting rod ended up sitting on the intake. Long story short, a new engine is going in, so we figured what the hell, lets see if it will still run.. Gotta give credit to these flat4s nothing seems to stop them.

And here I thought you were going to talk about the Pleo...

I had a valve head shear off and go rocketing around in the cylinder, effectively making mine a 3-cylinder for a painful period of time. It also kept running. Astonishingly tough, these things.

How do you go 10k over an oil change? The most I've gone was 6k on my old '98 2.2 and I thought that was pushing it.

"just remove them there 2 bolts an it'll splay right open!" Yeah, not quite......good luck with the rebuild if that is the mentality that is going into it.....
