Default How much did you spend on you car this year?

Like the title says. As the new year is rolling in I've recently been reflecting on the past ~355 days (as of this writing) and how much I've spent on/for my car.

I've determined I've spent (not including the initial purchase, subsequent loan payments, gas, oil, or mandatory expenses like inspection and emissions testing) approximately $4000 on parts and other miscellaneous items (like ramps, tools cleaning supplies, etc.) for my car since January 1.

My favorite mod (and most expensive single purchase) from the past year is definitely my nameless performance catback.

So, how hard did the mod bug bite you and your wallet in 2012, and what was your favorite mod that you installed this year?

almost $7,000 in 4 months of owning it on my current STi... and about $2,000 on the 06 STi before i sold it. just in the calendar year of 2012.

Coilovers on the 06 early in the year and couple other little things.

mudflaps, winter wheel setup, and new short block for the current car (short block was a surprise ringland fail)

A bit over 11K, mostly for swapping a 4eat out for a 6MT with high speed gear set.

$300 in the TS for shortshifter+bushing+linkage update and header.

Easily over $1500 in the SVX for the transmission/rear diffs.

I am just shy of $14,000. I'm working on my build thread now....
