Default H6 rear brake upgrade

Had a misunderstanding with my mech and instead of installing these parts he went and put stock parts on..so before I return it all I'm seeing if anyone wants this stuff. Bought all the brake stuff from partstrain.com and the brackets from amazon if you want to check prices.

2 centric premium legacy rear discs. paid 36 ea new

1 centric posi quiet WRX rear pads 29 new
2 cardone caliper brackets 20 ea new

Was all about 140. Will sell all for 100

Everything still new in packages
Not looking to ship but will meet up within a reasonable distance

Why not just do the install yourself? Super easy. Then sell the stock parts.

You do realize that the pads are exactly the same between stock and your H6 upgrade, right? You're reusing your caliper with a swapped bracket and different rotor. You would have to break the welds on the dust guard or simply bend it back, but then it's a very simple matter of removing the exhisting calipers, swapping brackets, taking off the WRX rotors, putting on H6 rotors, put calipers back on and enjoy better biased braking.

How much shipped to 60505. I don't need calipers or pads. If possible

Not sure what you mean? the only thing you must do is go w/ the older style brake pad And clips (found in the 2002 wrx) along With the rotors and caliper bracket..never mentioned anything about the calipers themselves...stock forester pads won't work..and yes, mod or remove the dust shields.

For those other than the OP, 2004 FXT rear pads have a wider tab than 2002 WRX. Ask me how I know? (no dont)

GVR, I did this swap on my old Forester. The H6 swap is super easy. You are only replacing the caliper bracket from your current vehicle to the one from the H6. this moves your stock caliper farther away from the center, allowing for a larger (the H6) rotor, and therefore more stopping power.

The pads and caliper stay exactly the same as your current vehicle.

For the record

Not that any of this matters. This is a For sale thread, the seller isn't really looking for a debate on whether he should do it or how he should.

GLWS again! Maybe if you have it all next time I'm out your way I'll pic em up ;-)
