I <3 autoX, hopefully the wife will get a job soon and I'll be able to run the miata out there a bit this year. Ideally I want to be back in a newer STI or possibly an 06/07 STI limited in a couple years.

What's your tint laws? How strictly do they enforce it?

tint laws are pretty standard I believe, 0% front, 35% sides and you can limo everything else but they don't enforce it very hard as long as you don't limo the sides/go crazy on the front or do reflective (mirror) or colors.

I was thinking 5% rears and rear doors and doing the front doors 20% to make an offset so it doesn't look as bad. Anyone running that combo?

i lol'd
but no worries roll your window down to show you mean no harm and they'll drive past. ive rarely seen or been in a "tint violation" situation even when pulled over for other tickets.

Good to hear. What does tint normally cost down there? Trying to figure out if I should get it done up here or down there.

Don't go for the cheapest tint job as the quality of material used could suffer. Installation is only half of it. I personally know the owner of protint in prescott valley and he highly recommended formula one, after seeing aged cheap tint vs good tint it was a no brainer. I got a great price at 160$ for all 7 windows in my legacy but that's almost no labor cost. Protint is the best up in this area but they do mostly housing and wait time could be weeks as the best installer is usually booked up. He will spend extra time/and lots of cursing making sure its perfect.

Totally agree on the quality tint. CCA is the shop up here and I think they quoted me for $250 for everything. They do amazing work and will redo it until its perfect. Sounds like if I want a good job and don't want to wait I should just do it up here.
